He attended St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai, and later Loyola College, Chennai, where actor Suriya was his classmate. Mahesh Babu’s career took shape early, appearing in Needa (1979) at age four. He continued as a child artist in films like Poratam (1983), Sankharavam (1987), and others. His lead debut came in Rajakumarudu (1999), earning him the title “Prince.”
Murari (2001) marked a turning point, gaining commercial success and critical acclaim. Takkari Donga (2002) received mixed reviews, while Okkadu (2003) became a blockbuster, earning Babu his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.
